How to Write with Style. By Kurt Vonnegut
Toulin’s Model
Because many students struggle in the art of writing. Kurt Vonnegut created eight simple and easy to follow rules to help students write eloquently and successfully. Since Vonnegut is a successful and famous writer one should have confidence in his advice to follow the rules to produce an outstanding work of art.
Kurt Vonnegut’s first rule, find a subject you care about, is one of the most important rules to follow. If a writer is passionate about their work the words just flow out of them onto paper. It is more than just listing facts that tends to bore the writer and the reader. But rather an art that will captivate the readers attention and make the work much more enjoyable to write and read. From a personal view, I think a passionate writer writes from the heart and the quality of the work is superior to the non-passionate writers. In conclusion, Vonnegut’s rule is essential to follow because your passion will reflect in your writing and make you a more successful writer.
